ASEAN is rapidly becoming one of the world's most attractive destinations for bioenergy investment.

According to the United Nations ESCAP, the region attracted US$88 billion in greenfield FDI in 2025, representing 27% of all greenfield investment in Asia-Pacific. To further accelerate investment, ASEAN has launched InvestASEAN, a regional initiative to support biofuels and clean energy projects across Southeast Asia.

With abundant biomass resources, growing demand for sustainable fuels, supportive government policies, and a market of over 680 million people, ASEAN offers significant opportunities for companies across the bioenergy value chain.

As preparations for ASEAN Biomass Energy Expo (ABEE) 2027 continue, we're seeing increasing international interest in Southeast Asia as a strategic market for collaboration and business growth.
