The Egyptian government is accelerating the conversion of agricultural and livestock waste into biogas and organic fertilizer, supporting green transition and circular economy strategies. Currently, around 2,000 biogas units have been installed across 19 governorates, producing approximately 2.15 million m³ of biogas annually and 50,000 tons of organic fertilizer. Plans are underway to expand mid-to-large scale biogas units to enhance agricultural export competitiveness.

รัฐบาลอียิปต์กำลังเร่งเปลี่ยนของเสียทางการเกษตรและปศุสัตว์ให้เป็นก๊าซชีวภาพและปุ๋ยอินทรีย์ เพื่อสนับสนุนการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่พลังงานสีเขียวและเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน ปัจจุบันมีการติดตั้งหน่วยก๊าซชีวภาพประมาณ 2,000 หน่วยทั่ว 19 จังหวัด ผลิตก๊าซชีวภาพได้ประมาณ 2.15 ล้านลูกบาศก์เมตรต่อปี และปุ๋ยอินทรีย์ประมาณ 50,000 ตัน มีแผนขยายหน่วยก๊าซชีวภาพขนาดกลางถึงใหญ่เพื่อเพิ่มความสามารถในการแข่งขันของการส่งออกทางการเกษตร
