Key Strategic Transition: Biomass-Fueled Lime Kilns

One of the group’s most impactful operational changes is the conversion of its lime kilns at the Stendal mill in Germany to biomass energy.
“Our kilns used to run on fossil gas,” Bueno explains. “We’ve now transitioned them to use biomass pellets from Torgau, completely eliminating the use of natural gas.”
