Chinese energy firm Zhuoyue Bioenergy is set to invest USD 98 million to build a biofuel production plant in Thailand’s Chonburi province.
Key highlights:
• Plant to produce 150,000 tons of biodiesel annually
• Also includes facilities for glycerin, fatty acid, and hydrogenated oil production
• Commercial operations expected to begin by Q1 2026
Located in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), the project benefits from strong logistics, industrial infrastructure, and proximity to bio-based feedstocks.
This move reflects growing China–Thailand cooperation in clean energy and highlights Thailand’s role as a strategic hub for biofuel manufacturing and exports across ASEAN.
